ICA Gem Mines Tour to Burma The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) is now taking reservations for its Gem Mines Tour to Mogok, Myanmar (formerly Burma), from February 24-March 2. The tour will follow the 2005 ICA Congress that runs from February 18-21 in Bangkok, Thailand. Gem traveler and gemologist Richard Hughes will guide participants on the journey to Myanmar's Mogok Stone Tract — the legendary "Valley of Rubies" — as well as other historic sights in both Yangon and Mandalay. The cost of the tour is US$2475 per person. The tentative program is as follows: February 24: Flight from Bangkok, Thailand, to Yangon, Myanmar; visit Shwe Dagon Pagoda and Gem Museum.
